Various environmental movements from the 1970s have presented a significant sense of exploitation of women and natural resources in developing nations. These movements have in turn criticized the restraints society puts up to limit the roles of women in cultural institutions, taking up progressive roles for the society which will end up increasing the socioeconomic status and power for women. Nowadays the ecofeminists are more concerned about making the ecological sustainability of women activism by keeping a check of their actual and legal powers rather than the theoretical labels given to them.

The awareness and the current status of activists have increased the emphasis on a women’s global identity by increasing female participation during environmental and economic lawmaking sessions, being an integral part of decision panels, fragmenting democratic progress and establishing security policies. Contributions of an ecofeminist are best known in the daily environmental activism practices and by the women who work and live in the industrializing nations.

Various factors like – socialist, liberal, cultural and postmodern approaches contribute to conceptualizations of environmental relationships to female empowerment. The demand for women’s inclusion in global environmental politics reflects the conviction of women’s relationship to her views on nature which matter. The studies, philosophies, and convictions have shown the strong affinity between feminism and nature who play the role of caretakers and are a model of care. In my paper I have showcased how the Social, Liberal, Cultural and Liberal Ecofeminism has a capacity to govern the economic development, governing the ecological sustainability, and environmental politics.
